rainy thursday.

- a very sci fi morning. major solar flares today. magnetic force field affected. satelite disruptions. like i said very sci fi.

- 6th or 7th year anniversary today. which means date night! we're so lucky because we actually really love each other. what are the chances that that actually happen in our present lifetime. if you think about it, it's really amazing!

- rainy commute and it's not stopping today.

so this blogger max upload sucks. i also found out that my icloud storage has also reached it's max. and so is my phone. what in the world is going on? those are not going to stop me from blogging or else my head is going to reach its max too. lol.

cold front.

yes, the cold front came in last night. it's cold today. and i want to stay in bed. i knew those patron shots last night were going to get me somehow. yesterday, we had dinner at a friend's house - couple actually. drinks and really good food. in their awesome house. we're inspired to keep working on our house. and have convinced hubs to stay away from ultra modern. yes!

twilight zone.

last night was creepy. i woke up so thirsty at exactly 2:59 am - i am not kidding!! to find my hubs just waking up from a bad nightmare. so that would make it exactly 3:00 am! and he wanted to tell me about his dream and i begged him not to because then i'll get scared but he managed to say "it's like paranormal". you know the movie. great! so then i started thinking about it as i force my self to sleep. sure enough i had a nightmare too. about the movie that scares the crap out of me - the fourth kind. that i was abducted by aliens. and the freaking owls! unbelievable! yes, that is why i'm not a big fan of owls. if you haven't seen that movie, go ahead and watch it because everyone seems to disagree with me. that it's not that scary. well i hate that movie man! i wish i never saw it.

we woke up late of course as a result of this. left the tv on all night on the shopping channel. which made us more late because as soon as i woke up i couldn't help but watch that damn slow cooker make gourmet meals in minutes!

hello, yellow.

yellow is usually not my first pick. in my head it makes my skin tone yellowish. don't ask. but i thought this was a perfect outfit today because the weather is so nice out. 82 degrees!!!! summertime is here!

this weekend, hubs suggested we do something spontanous. if that's even possible - planning spontaneity. ironic i know. that's us. we always plan something but never really plan it. let's just say we moved down to florida in 3 weeks and that includes the time we found out the possibility. i mean we were planning on leaving ny without any plans. just a whole lot of faith in god and us. can't go wrong with that, right? now that i think about it, i've always been like that. moving to ny. getting married. having baby. quitting my job. returning to work. i think i'm on to something here because those are some of the best things i've done!

extra day.

i feel like doing something crazy today in honor of leap year. but probably won't unless you consider shopping for a shaver at walmart crazy. i am however secretly hoping that my sis in law gives birth today. that way feb 29 will be really exciting and i can finally say that i know a leap year baby. having an extra day turns my curiosity level to the max. you know like time travelling or when you gaze at the stars and the possibilities of life becomes infinite. no? ok that's just me then. anyway, if you think about it time is drifting that we have to add a day to make up for it. anyway don't mind my blah-ging. get it? blogging=blahging because i am blogging about blah.. ahhaha. but seriously i'm ending it right here before i get carried away. enjoy your extra day everyone!

second work day of the week.

- one of the guys i correspond with by email at work always replies "negative" and "affirmative". i feel like a drill sergeant. like did you have a good weekend? affirmative! sheeesh!
- chatting with hubs while working on a spreadsheet. in all caps. no, i am not screaming. it's funny how capitalization changes the tone of the chat. here's a comic from theoatmeal.com. ps. super funny website if you have a wierd sense of humor like me. hubs thinks it's not funny. but then again that's from a guy who is linsane.
- i am swamped with work today. I've had 5 cups of coffee already. and work keeps coming. breakfast at home and at work was a good call.
- the scrambled egg at the cafeteria is sooooo dry and nasty - probably the fake kind - but it's so gooooood. i sometimes cook real eggs and make it look that way.
- my daughter brought home her first homework yesterday!!!! and we forgot to do it. what kind of mom am i??!? lol. note to self: keep crayons or any writing instrument in the car.
- lunch at 1pm with hubs!
- i originally wore bright red with this skirt and ended up wearing black. i have no idea why.
- my dad's painting for our dining room is almost done! here's a little preview.
- i have decided that i am going to start wearing lipstick. that is as soon as i buy some.

sheer and silk.

i am all about sheer and silk tops. love them! i have been eyeing on a black polkadot sheer just like what i'm wearing today from equipment for some time now. it's also $200 bucks if not more. so you can just imagine how excited i was when i saw this at f21 for 0.08th of the price (if that even makes sense and if my math is correct). i also bought it's fraternal twin - white with black dots. and then some. f21 pretty much has all the sheer colors and styles. me, I always opt for classic cuts. work appropriate and perfect for play. happy monday!

i'm talking about denim chambray. obviously. lol. this is my 6th. when i saw this for 16 bucks, i was like heck yeah. my hubs reaction - " don't you have 2 of that already?". ummm. yeah sure. he doesn't need to know about the other 3.

yesterday we had a blast! ate all day long. and catch up with everyone. so did my daughter. for the first time, she was sleeping in the car on our way to school. that never happens. never. tomorrow morning everyone is leaving. tomorrow night, in laws are arriving. yey!

busy bee.

today is a crazy day. i had 3 guys waiting with me in my cubicle for a good hour while trying to get work done. i hate it when someone is watching me type. or watching the back of my head. who's with me?

i spent the whole morning running around the whole building. and bumping to our ceo. i got a smile out of him. i heard he's not the friendly type.

i am definitely getting lots of things done today. hope it stays that way because tomorrow i am off!

ayan's head.

- i had leg cramps the other night and i slept through it. wow.
- mama and aunt #1 (tita ave) arrived last night and since my hubs and i have work, they've decided to reorganize some stuff. nervous? maybe.
- loving my new birdie top and skirt. told ya we were going shopping.
- stayed up til 2 am catching up with my mom and aunt and ate half a tub of ice cream. *sigh* good times.
- my mom's 65th birthday on the 22nd! i guess south beach it is!! she loves it there! i'm taking a day off! yess!
- i just got a delivery of 150 lbs of cheddar cheese, 50 lbs of butter and 50 gal of chicken broth. nice.
- my cousin, caroline arriving tonight and aunt #2 (tita fe) tomorrow!
- my very weird dream. let's just say it involved a tsunami, me hanging on a coconut tree and jumping, snapping turtles THIS big.

yes this outfit is very similar to my feb 13 post. but i wore that outfit back in november last year. just posted that for my hs friend who's dying to have a sheer kimono shrug. lol.

today i was on the verge of having a huge migraine. but remedied it just before it became full blown. i think i've mastered that. or else today will be a disaster since today is the party for our coworker. lots. of. food.

i realized today that i wake up too damn early. i was outside (don't ask me why) and was staring at the moon which is so beautiful btw. the speculation that the moon will eventually go out of orbit and leave earth is just sad. you know aside from the effects of the absense of its gravitational pull. anyway, the moon! It was still out! and so were the stars. can't wait for the longer days and summer and actually wake up to the sun!

the weather today is muy bien! florals it is! also got this top from my sis! feeling spring-y today. and yes i'm learning spanish - a phrase a day. google translator style. since i'm in miami, why the heck not. today's phrase is "el tiempo hoy es impresionante!". that's "today's weather is awesome!" for you.

happy valentines.

my dad arrived last night bearing clothes from my sis in ny. i think i love receiving clothes than shopping. just because i usually receive pieces that i wouldn't normally get and styles that the giver think is my style. if that even makes sense. this shirt is definitely my style. it's a plain red stripe chambray but yet again i do not own it. just in time for vday.

we celebrated vday last sunday -you know the steak and lobster. sophie and i did make the cake pops in case you were wondering. it was unfortunately a big fail. don't ask me why i never follow a recipe. instead of using cake, i used brownies. i was a great idea at the time but man it tasted funny. hubs ate 5 of them anyway. see why i love that guy so much. every bite he took, he had a face, the trying-to-figure-out-what-it-taste-like face. next time i's sticking to the recipe.

chambray and tights kind of day.

or not. i should have worn more layers! it's freezing today. the funny thing is it's colder inside our building than it is outside. but it's cold today and i mean wear a jacket cold! i did but should've brougt my scarf and a cardi. i've had 3 cups of coffee already to keep myself warm. which means more trips to the restroom. great i've tights on.

new old favorite.

i haven't worn this jeans in like forever. i even forgot i had them. nothing like shopping your own closet. i'm psyched that they fit!! and they make my tushie nice. they're my favorite then and my favorite now.

i can't wait to get home tonight. i'm inspired to make some v-day cards. and my much anticipated cake pops.

yes i'm wearing neutral from head to toe. i'm also wearing cargo pants for work! i've been wanting some skimmer pants for some time now and this is the closest i have.

next next week, my mama, 2 aunts (mama's sisters) and my cousin are coming to visit for 1 week. it's going to be one awesome, estrogenic week - sorry hubs - and hopefully shopping.
